Urgente e Importante

Haciendo un poco de research, encontré algo que complementa el post anterior, aplicado a proyectos.

…”A useful way of planning your tasks as a team is to use an “Urgent and Important Matrix”. This is a particularly good tool to use at the beginning of a project as you are able to identify the tasks at an early stage and disregard those tasks which are viewed as being not urgent and not important. For the purpose of group planning you could use the matrix on a flip chart and simply write the tasks on post-it notes and stick in the relevant quadrants. At the end of the process you will be able to devise action plans for the important and non-urgent tasks and begin working on these straight away. The purpose of tackling the important and non-urgent tasks is to ensure that these don’t become important and urgent. If you spend all of your time concentrating on the urgent and important tasks you will just be firefighting. You need to be proactive rather than reactive.”…

Importante vs Urgente en las Start-ups

Una de las cuestiones más difíciles de una Start-up es no perder de vista la diferencia entre lo Importante y lo Urgente.

Una empresa o proyecto en formación no puede crecer ni formarse sanamente si su política de maduración se basa en Urgencias porque se acercará mucho a una organzación histérica en vez de una organización racional.

Una pregunta que surge de aquí es si la mayoría de las soluciones a las Urgencias son las mejores decisiones. En general no. Pero entonces, ¿no hay que resolver la Urgencia? Si, pero inmediatamente hay que trabajar para que esa urgencia sea hago aislado y no repetible en su mismo formato.

Me encanta pensar en trabajar en lo importante, donde se prioricen la ejecución de acciones consistentes a los objetivos planteados para el día, semana, mes, etc.

Si el mayor % de las acciones que se resuelven en una empresa son las urgencias solo se logrará alejar el objetivo!
